Brand Naming Consult + Mission, Vision & Values Consult + Landing Page + Custom Event Survey

A visionary and multitalented team of five VITAL graduates were in the initial stages of building a startup that centered healing with ketamine and a holistic approach to care before and after treatment. As core pieces to their concept were coming together, in the unique hyperdrive that comes with building a metaphorical plane while flying it, we were introduced to the team to see how we could support their evolution.

What began as a couple consultations to vet their brand name and self-created mission, vision and values turned into focusing on creating a digital presence and email collection survey for their launch at Psychedelic Science 2025.

  • We investigated the competitive landscape across brands both known and lesser known that focus on healing with ketamine, as well as brands in general that play into “alchemy” in their core identity. We pressure-tested the name against 6 key dimensions to create an ultimate list of upsides and downsides as well as a key area to investigate before they formalized paperwork for their LLC. My experience with running large scale brand research projects over the years allowed me to share focused strategic guidance with this intelligent team to provoke necessary conversations.

  • Having created their own work-in-progress mission, vision and set of values proved to be a fertile starting point for our consultation, which involved digging deeper into the reasons behind their choices and seeing how the values fit together as an interconnected representation of their novel solution for healing. We shortened mission language to make it more concise, separating out supporting points from the core idea, and we edged toward an even bolder vision statement to match the energy of their business idea. We added a sixth value to speak to a before-then unnamed secret ingredient to their foundational ideology.

  • To seize the networking potential at Psychedelic Science 2025, we created a landing page that aimed to succinctly and memorably convey their core idea, outline each of the audiences they wanted to reach (practitioners, providers and clients), and capture contact information in a robust way to enhance the hit-the-ground-running spark for any future collaborators or clients. With quick turnaround creative reviews and strategic guidance toward which messages served memorable awareness, we successfully created the website as a digital destination and soft launch for Alchemystic. This was paired with a postcard their team created to drive traffic to the site.

  • Recognizing the immense opportunity that the Psychedelic Science conference held to connect to like-minded professionals, providers and prospective clients, we crafted a survey dedicated to learning the most essential pieces. My expertise in research supported us in creating a survey on their website that collected rich information for recontacting folks post-conference based on their interests and audience type.

Robust data collection to maximize the moment

Together we refined the list of questions and responses to effectively map the professional backgrounds, beliefs, perceptions on healing with ketamine and desired features and functionality for respondents. We reviewed post-survey email copy tailored to the 3 audiences to keep the connection alive in the afterglow of such a large scale event with 8,000 attendees.

Impact

We met the Alchemystic team’s excitement and ideas with grounded and thoughtful strategic recommendations to sharpen their brand foundation and thus their resulting communication strategy as they introduced themselves to the psychedelic community at Psychedelic Science 2025.

  • Having rich discussion over brands in the ketamine healing and alchemy landscape deepened our understanding of what we needed to say to reach the 3 audiences they defined as being crucial elements to their framework coming to life. We needed resonant messages and talking points that reached them on emotive and practical wavelengths.

  • We seized the opportunity to learn valuable information and insights from conference attendees who were mission-aligned, informing not only a retargeting strategy but also future product features and prioritization of tech functionality.

  • From the launch of the landing page in June 2025, they built a presence at the conference that saw continuously more traffic and interest in the months that followed. The initial spike for site visitors that June reached 97 visitors from the exposure the conference gave them (with a 12% conversion rate for survey submission), and site traffic has continued to gradually increase ever since.
